watched part of the RIchmond-St.Bonnie game at the LU after game and those who have commented that they are a big conference were right on...Those were two big teams ...at all positions...Was poking around for ino on the IVy boys returning and got nothing!

Much has been said about Bobi, but I just made a connection. You might remember Tum Tum Nairn from some of those great Michigan State teams. He overlapped with both Drew as the GA and Denzel playing for a couple years.

Last April Tum Tum joined the Sunrise Christian coaching staff. He’s in charge of the post grad program, but I’m sure he’s around and involved with the nationally ranked varsity. I’m also willing to bet he’s hearing a lot from Drew, Tum Tum seems very friendly with the Valentines on social
Media.

Bobi aside, having a connection like that at SCA could be great going forward

Yeah I remain confident we will land some major transfers, but our returning roster is both concerningly small and lacking athleticism at just about every position relative to the A-10's top teams. I do think Drew will prove to be an excellent recruiter and will level us up quickly. The first year or 2 might be a struggle though.

Davidson-Dayton is starting now on USA Network. Davidson is much taller than us and just as skilled or moreso at all positions. Dayton is the youngest team in the country and loaded with talent and athleticism.

What do you mean by "athleticism?" Most of our returning players appear to be quite agile and have good jumping ability.

Quinn follows Wallace on Twitter. I wonder if Quinn put out feelers to Loyola about transferring based on Krut's success in our system. No official word about Quinn transferring.

Story on Tuscola's Sectional Final loss

Game tied. Double overtime. Sectional final. That’s enough right there to create a vision of what basketball in March is all about.

But throw in a buzzer-beater –– from 60 feet away –– and it’s bedlam.

With 2.6 seconds remaining in double overtime in the Effingham St. Anthony Sectional title game, Meridian’s Graham Meisenhelter received an inbound pass on the far baseline, took one dribble and casually launched a three-quarter court shot just before the buzzer sounded for a 82-79 win over Tuscola.

Prior to the 60-foot heave, Meridian’s Riley Day drained an off-balanced three-pointer from 25 feet at the buzzer to send the game into a second overtime.

Tuscola’s Jalen Quinn, one of the top 10 prospects in the state headed to Loyola next season, finished with 35 points, seven rebounds and seven assists in the gut-wrenching loss.

Meridian, a 15-minute drive just south of Decatur, now advances to a Class 1A Carbondale super-sectional to face Steeleville Monday night.

Announcer: "Swella credited with an Astute Observation for that post! That's 2 AOs so far this century for the crafty veteran, surpassing natetheskate's total of 0."

Watched a little video of Quinn the other day. He absolutely reminds me of Krut, body type and all.

Seems like they're all playing well + outperforming their recruiting ranking.

Obvious need is for some size, which it seems like they're trying to address both in '23 recruiting + transfer portal.
